The last week of April saw a Manchester invasion of the DejaVuFM studios as MCs Xtra, Sin Seer, Dorris and LK joined us on the Star One Showcase for an epic Grime Set! Check out the audio below - the Grime set starts 45 minutes in and look out for the video coming soon!

We were inspired by Saturdays Britains Got Talent episode and new sensation Zippariah Tafari and his track 'Where Me Keys, Where Me Phone'. Following the success of our Rastamouse Remix we thought we'd do a little rendition of this as well - Just for Fun! :)
Our first single Respect featuring Sarah Lillie has been picked up by 1xtras DJ Target and he has been BATTERING it all week! Target is a very busy man, he's been on Radio everyday this week and has dropped Respect each time!

2012 is flying by!! Cant believe its February already..Last month and last week in particular was very hectic.
Pangaea festival in Manchester was epic and we were also playing the main stage at the Take The Whole Cake Street Party on 31st January - Check the Full lineup below:
As you can see we were meant to be playing early and warming up but a last minute change around meant that we took 1-2am on the main stage in between the headliners Ms Dynamite and Kano - Was an absolute sick night!! Below is a photo our friend Madam X took whilst we were DJ'ing and I'll upload the video of the night when we have it as well!
Onto this month - We're gonna be playing at The Westbury on Friday alongside the legendary DJ Luck and MC Neat and our good friend and one of the best DJs I know - Larry Sun - Poster Below - give us a shout on our fbook if your comin.
We love remix competitions - I think they are great ideas and are really good for up and coming artists to get their sound heard.
We have just entered the competition remixing the legend that is Artful (from the Artful Dodger) track 'Could just Be the Bassline' feat Kal Lavelle and written by Ed Sheeran.
We gave it our usual UK Garage influenced remix - Please check it out, comment, favourite and all that and you never know we might win (fingers crossed)!
This Weekend we are heading up to Manchester to play at the Pangaea Festival!! Somehow we're playing in Academy 1 which will be our biggest audience to date (about 2000 ppl i think) alongside Marcus Nasty, DJ Luck and MC Neat, The Correspondants, Seiji and a whole heap of others. This week marks a year since the formation of Star One since we did our first remix (as a joke) of the Rastamouse Theme Tune so thought I'd do a quick recap of that time. In that time our style has changed alot, the Rastamouse remix was done for abit of fun but with Radio 1 Play and about 200,000 Hits on YouTube it wasn't a bad start!
We're now more known for our Garage based remixes, mainly off the back of the Jamie Woon - Lady Luck remix we did that became some Ibiza summer anthem (mainly due to people confusing what remix superstar DJ Luciano was playing!). Thats still our biggest remix to date with the most hits on our Soundcloud page and also nearing a quarter million total views on YouTube. That track is free to download off our first free EP - The Freemixes available from our Bandcamp

The track we made 'Power Riddim' also featured on our debut EP which we put out in September - You can buy that still from ITunes.
We have just put out The Freemixes II featuring new remixes of Labrinth, Ed Sheeran, Andrea Martin and more- Check that from our facebook HERE. Wedge that between alot of late nights, hard work and club gigs and thats pretty much been our year!
We have alot planned for 2012 so watch this space! Big love to all the promoters, bloggers and DJs who have supported us and to everyone who has enjoyed our music! Heres to a great 2nd year in the game-!
A Late Xmas Present from us and how we're starting the new year! This is a package of some of the Remixes we have been working on in the last few months - some official work (Russo and Yogi ones) and the other ones we've just picked up the acapellas from somewhere. Our reeworks of Switch x Andrea Martin, Ed Sheeran, Labrinth and DJ Champion are all on there!

So it's 2012 - The time when everyone plans for the year ahead and makes unrealistic New Years resolutions!
We're starting this blog to track our movements over the next year - We have alot planned and this seems as good a place as any to share it with you! Will be posting up our weekly radio shows as well as releases, free downloads and all of that goodness!!
